One of the primary missions of the United Methodist Church of Summit is to ensure we continue to learn about God and God's directions for our lives. We offer learning opportunities for all ages and strive to make them relevant to discovering God's direction for our lives and living out that direction in today's world.
Children (ages 3 - 5th grade)
Bible Adventures at the Summit takes children back to Bible Times where they can encounter the men and women who were called by God and led by the example of Jesus Christ to be disciples. Our Christian Education ministries seek to offer opportunities for people young to know God and discover ways to live in our world today as disciples for Christ.
Classes for children ages 3 through 5th grade meet on Sunday. Children ages 3 years through 5th grade use the Workshop Rotation model for Christian Education. This model is kid friendly and teaches bible stories using 4-6 workshops. Some of the workshops are: Audio-Visual, Theatre, Computers, Cooking, Drama, Bible Skills/Games, Arts/Crafts, and Puppetry. A rotation can last for 4-6 weeks and the children rotate to a new workshop each week.

Adults
Mid-week Adult Prayer and Bible Study Fellowship. Adults are invited to join with Pastor Denise Bowen on Wednesdays for a time of prayer and Bible Study. The group of faithful adults serves as the congregations "prayer chain". New members are always welcome. Bible Studies are short term studies for 6-10 weeks. Child care is provided if needed.
Sunday mornings, adults gather to discuss biblical scripture, parables, and topics relevant to our Christian lives in today's world. It is a time of sharing, asking questions, and together seeking answers or recognizing answers may not exist.
Parenting classes and an evening adult bible study are offered as part of the Thrilling Thursday! Program.
